April 15 – Good Friday – (Day of Universal Fast & Abstinence )
3:00 p.m. Liturgy of the Passion of the Lord with Veneration of The Cross
8:00 p.m. Tenebrae – On Good Friday, as the sun goes down on the earth, we think about the body of Jesus gone cold, entombed, and remember the tears, fears, confusions, and sorrows of Mary, Christ’s mother, of the Apostles, and of all the disciples of Jesus. We join them in darkness: sorrowing, and lamenting. We will enter into the emotional spirit of that sacred, historical, night. Over the course of Tenebrae, the lights of the church will gradually be turned off, and candles extinguished one-by-one. Good Friday’s Tenebrae will close in darkness, yet we will leave anticipating the coming of Light.
April 16 – Holy Saturday, Easter Vigil (No 5:00 p.m. Mass)
