Last Summer 30-35 of us read a book together on Wednesday evenings. Everyone who attended raved about how great a time they had, how well the discussions went, and how much they learned. All those participating have pushed me for another offering. So, I am going to!
This Summer, beginning on Wednesday, June 28th, at 6:30pm you are all invited to join me in the rectory to begin another, accessible, manageably-short, non-fiction book on a particular topic. I have not made a book choice yet, though some are advocating for excerpts from the Church Fathers and Mothers. This being the Parish-Centered Year for Eucharistic Renewal, I am also considering something along those lines. I am, of course, open to your “book club” preferences and am not wedded yet to a particular book or topic.
Right now, I just want to give you plenty of advance notice of the offering so that you may mark your calendars if you want to come. We will meet every Wednesday at 6:30pm as friends.
