This group offers many programs to assist the poor who are in need of material and financial help. With the Open Shelter program, dinner is provided at the shelter once a month. Sandwich Makers provide 150 sandwiches twice a month to the Community Kitchen, Inc. at St. John/Holy Rosary Church. There is a group that volunteers to make a daily run to deliver day-old bread from Giant Eagle and Panera to St. Lawrence Haven Food Distribution Center or the Community Kitchen. And another group meets at St. Lawrence Haven to aid in distributing food to the needy. In addition, individually tailored help is given to those who ask for assistance. Meetings are held at 9:00 a.m. on the first Saturday of the month in the Monsignor Kennedy Parish Hall. All are welcome.
